The arts enriches us and bonds us as communities. Be a patron of the arts.

Go see a play. Listen to live music. Visit an art gallery or exhibition. Go to see an independent movie. Buy a ticket to a high school musical.

In the words of the villain in The Incredibles, “when everyone is special, no one is special”.

Is Pre-Check still worth it? Seems like taking off your shoes and taking out your laptop on a shorter line may begin to make sense. 🤔
Have we reached peak PreCheck?

If you ever find yourself in San Diego, check out Hash House A Go Go. You will thank me. And brave the line on the weekends — it’s worth it.

On Thanksgiving we’re told we should be thankful. I would argue, we should be appreciative — appreciative for the people around us, appreciative for those who protect us and serve in harms way, and appreciative for the opportunity to take some time off and relax. Not everyone gets to do that.

Take a moment to be thankful. Thankful for life, thankful for the people around us, thankful for the ability to live life the way we choose.

When you come across someone doing a “thankless job”, thank them. Make their day, help them feel appreciated.

Shop local. Buy from a small business, eat at a locally owned restaurant, have a drink at a locally owned establishment, buy from a farmers market, eat produce this is locally grown. Build communities, support your neighbors. Make a difference.
