I look forward to the new adventures with colleagues and friends that await in the new academic year, challenges, and triumphs. Let's go!

Now, a year later, I am here at commencement to see friends and students in that same position, and I am inspired and excited for their possibilities. knowing greatness will come from each of them.

In addition, the support and love from friends, family, especially my wife, have lifted my spirits and strengthened my determination to move forward. I am blessed beyond measure.

I must admit, at times after joining the faculty, I felt like an impostor in this role. But the support and reassurances of colleagues throughout the profession have helped me put those thoughts at ease.

Then the series of events that transpired have left me amazed and humbled, from becoming an ALA Emerging Leader to being elected to the ALA Council.

I am committed to working collaboratively with the membership to advocate for your priorities and amplify your voices as the Council guides ALA through the challenges and opportunities ahead. I look forward to serving our profession with dedication and purpose. @amlibraryassoc.bsky.social

I will advocate passionately for policies that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of library leadership, ensuring our profession remains dynamic, inclusive, and responsive to changing community needs.

As a recent MLIS graduate and recognized Emerging Leader and Spectrum Scholar, I am committed to bringing fresh energy and innovative thinking to ALA governance. My core mission is to amplify the voices of young library professionals and bridge the gap between traditional and emerging library roles.
