Tax law at the federal level should be mostly about creating incentives for how we want people to behave. If destroying something before it hits market has a financial incentive, something is wrong in the tax law; even hardcore capitalists should agree with that.

And that being the case, tells me that we should be looking at reworking the tax code because something in it is unfair and creating an incentive that shouldn’t exist. Like saying ‘if your shop lost money, you still owe taxes, but if you let someone steal your inventory, you don’t pay taxes’

There is clearly a major perverse incentive in the tax code. I think the idea is that the marketing and distribution costs versus the possible income expected will be a greater loss than taking a tax write off for complete loss of the film- but how or why that is the case I don’t get.

I know it’s a different landscape with around 2000 games a year being published as opposed to the 200 or so a decade ago….

That’s disappointing. Wonder if it’s being the biggest fish in the criticism pond is making them feel inundated with low-quality self-published games vying for their attention? Like all the designers are shipping crappy prototypes to them in hopes of getting public attention?

Haven’t seen it but I find the concept curious. I mean, Roy’s Last Light game is basically indie, he made it all himself until he found a publisher…. What makes a game indie and why is that bad? How does one define an indie game?

I mean, that’s not really what it’s referring to and we know it’s both - the point was more people voted Obama over McCain and Romney, while people chose not to vote Clinton over Trump, which suggests (and yes of course it’s more complex than this) that misogyny was stronger than racism in that way.

Many people underestimate her. Personally I think she may be the smartest justice ever appointed to the Supreme Court. It’s just a shame she’s spent all her time so far writing dissents with the most corrupt court in history….

We saw two in Sequoias National Park just a week after we stayed with you. One was in the middle of the road and being grey blended, so we got out and used a magazine to shepherd it to the side of the road so it wouldn’t get run over. Dumb thing was like ‘ha, I’m camo so predators can’t see me!’

Also, now it is a movie too, but in the world of the play RENT, I always thought it was hilarious that Roger sings One Song Glory, an absolute banger about wanting to write one great song before he dies, and then writes what he decides is his great masterpiece and it’s the worst in the whole play.
