Google sells ad space to scammers. I’ve been transitioning to Duck Duck Go but accidentally used Google to look for Barebells protein bars. The top result was a scammer that stole my credit card info. Luckily, my credit card company flagged the fraudulent transactions.

My grandparents used to make lefse at all of the family gatherings. I haven’t had it in years and decided to try making it this year. It turned out really well!

Busy week so far! Voted yesterday, finished up a new pool cue, replaced a tip and built a cue extension (still needs another coat of black and poly).

Weekend project. Pool cue made from walnut and oak. Adding the black leather grip was definitely the hardest part. Hopefully that will get easier with practice. #woodworking #billiards #pool

My secret goal for the month was/is to get enough funds together to grab a harbor freight mini-lathe so I could spend November turning wood spindle ornaments out of my considerable tiny wood block collection.

Grabbing something from my shop would help considerably!

Made this pool cue rest out of walnut, wenge and oak. Initials are printed in acrylic paint prior to the poly coat.

These cinnamon rolls have >1g of sugar in the entire pan. Sweetened with a mix of swerve brown sugar, erythritol and monk fruit. Icing (not pictured) was made with plant based butter, vanilla protein powder, tapioca flour and unsweetened almond milk.

Wrapped up this 24” by 24” poplar frame today. It’s sanded but doesn’t have any stain or sealer.

Kent Monkman canvas print arrived today! I’m excited to make a frame for this one.

Two more picture frames today. Both are frames for 8x8 canvas paintings. One is sapele and the other is walnut. Both finished with danish oil.

Another frame! Art by Karl Horeis with a polar frame. I had intended to paint this one so I didn’t think much of the color variation in the wood. I feel like the darker colors in the top right draw the gaze back to the eyes.

Bought this painting at a benefit auction today and decided to make a frame for it. The sapele really makes the color in the canvas pop!

Made this chalk holder today and proceeded to knock it in a pocket while practicing with a friend 😂 Luckily it came through after sending some balls in after it. #woodworking

Danish oil complete. Next step is gloss poly and a leather grip. Trying to decide whether to stick with black or go for some color to make it more vibrant.
