I hear you. I've had a colposcopy and an endometrial biopsy and they were both more painful than just "cramps" The worst was they had to take a second sample during the endometrial. Those were mainly for potential procedures due to my PCOS and possibly endometriosis.

Oh and if you want to adjust the speed it should be on the embroidery mode setting screen after the tension setting.

And in my furious typing I realized the needle comment might be confusing lol. but the 75/11 is the size I use and I applique fleece on fleece frequently for projects.

I find my sewing janome tends to get a little finicky when alot of fleece lint and thread gets under the bobbin housing. Hopefully they makes sense and give you some things to try.

<nesting on the bottom I'd try to up the tension on the machine(photos show where it should be on the machine screen). I'd also pull the bobbin housing out and clean out and oil that part of the machine.

So a few things I'd look at. What needle size are you using? My embroidery needles on my babylock are 75/11 organ needles, The tension on the machine is auto set to janome bobbin fill thread, if you aren't using janome brand you could try adjusting the tension. With the embroidery top thread >

I can try and help. If I don't have an idea do have a local machine shop I purchased all my janomes through and I'm sure they'd be willing to try and give suggestions.. They've been super helpful when I've had problems. Can you describe what's happening or have pictures of the issue?

If you like the look of Ita bags I cannot recommend @luckycatmarket.bsky.social enough. I purchased one this past year and it has become my daily bag. The quality is super nice and it holds a really decent amount of stuff. I also like being able to change between a side bag and a backpack.

If you can find a used copy for inexpensive it's a pretty solid addition and one of my favorites.
