Go buy a lottery ticket lady!

Ah well that unfortunately checks out then, fuck em'.

I'd wager there's a not small amount of artists that still post to the unfortunate space that is Twitter, completely unknowingly or mostly checked out of its meta. Just blasting out art posts out of pure rhythm like a one-way "I did a thing" and not much else. Saying "do better" feels harsh, no?

I don't actually like the rules of modern D&D, unfortunately. Regardless thanks for making me aware of this. Cheers!

I also kind of feel like licensed D&D video games have become shovelware in the same way Warhammer games are (were?). A D&D video game used to have some level of implied quality but in the past decade or so, with the exception of BG3 I guess, the quality has really been in decline.

Already been doing this for years and have graduated to "I'll make my own". I did a decade of freelancing, I've worked for WotC and it was the worst freelance experience of my life.

Every now and then I peek back to check in like I did today, makes me happy with my decisions but also a little sad.

Congrats!

Also the "summarization" features. For example in Slack I'll miss 4 messages and I'll get a pop up "would you like Slack AI to summarize messages while you were gone?"

I'm good. I can read 4 sentences on my own, thanks. Not all heroes wear capes I guess.

Working in IT it's a nightmare though from a security standpoint, all of a sudden every single product has some sidebar with ChatGPT built into it to "assist" users and it's a logistical nightmare to wrangle it all. God forbid people write their own emails I guess. Seems like a slippery slope.

Yeah. I hope it all falls apart. I know a bunch of it is just marketing - 2 years ago we'd have called these "smart" features but now AI is just a buzz word.

I'm all for AI helping cure disease or take away menial repetitive tasks from us, but this genAI video/photos is Black Mirror level dread.

Problem is though, NFTs were too intangible for most people to comprehend. GenAI is immediately gratifying and sensory to the people wanting to use it. The barrier to entry is incredibly low and the byproduct is incredibly stimulating.

This actually gave me a bit of solace and hope, thank you. I've been in an existential crisis pit since Sora launched.
