Boutta get to the new Dream Theater today after finally rebinging them and realizing that I still love their early material lol (Metalbook sucks)

I’m also going to plan on making a video for my favorite 2024 albums so stay tuned for that soon!

I am finally done with catching up on 2024 albums, didn’t get to exactly everything I would’ve wanted to listen to but there’s always time

List of my favorite albums will be coming soon, not sure when but sooner rather than later

Yet another 4x6

Finishing up with 2024 catchups has resulted in Feet Always Cold being the longest album I’ve ever heard, clocking in at 5 hours and 11 minutes

I’ll have a 2024 list sometime soon, not 100% sure when but within the next couple weeks or so

Starting next Saturday I will be embarking on the Music Writer Exercise challenge that floats around on Twitter every February. Pick an album for each day of the month, listen to it, and say something about it. These are the albums I have picked for myself and I’m excited to do some more exploring!

That Flamingos album took me by complete surprise. It’s doo-wop from 1959 but it’s so heavily reverbed and slow that it comes across as very ethereal and otherworldly, certainly ahead of its time and feels for the late ‘50s

Took a tiny break from 2024 stuff outside of a couple revisits

- Vengeance is the best crust punk album ever until I find a better one (if I do)
- Lovely is one of the most sonically pleasing albums ever
- RIP Sam Moore
- Perverts absolutely ruled

This song is proof that sometimes all you need is to keep things very simple, just a bunch of verses and choruses to make one of the best songs ever
