Just finished “The Witch of New York” by Alex Hortis. It’s about Mary Polly Bodine—3 trials, 3 acquittals, but the media (ran by men) swore she was guilty & all but convicted her in the court of public opinion. My reflection: women have always been blamed for the evil in the world.

Oh…I recently finished one, that I hadn’t heard anything about. Just saw it on the shelf of an indie bookstore and grabbed it. I’m glad I did! It’s phenomenal! Easily a 5 🌟read for me. The Blueprint by Rae Giana Rashad.

“Anyone, anyone can break loose from his chains. That courage, no matter how deeply buried, is always waiting to be called out. All it needs is the right coaxing, the right voice to do that coaxing, and it will come roaring like a tiger .”

Understanding and forgiveness are so important—not just for the person who offended you, but for your own healing. Dr. Daniel Black wrote a book that is overflowing with therapy, healing, and Black love—especially for Black men. It’s not just a book you should read; it’s a book you need to read.

Babе, you made me feel so safe
You made me change my ways
But you couldn't do the same
And I hate that I lost my friend
I hate how we ended
I swear, I'm not pretendin'
