Every so often the universe provides some uplifting feedback. This was a letter I received from the mother of an international student who regularly chats with me after class and during my student hours. It was written in Mandarin and he translated it for me. I am humbled, to say the least.

Today is my 4th kidneyversary! On Jan 8, 2021 my mother-in-law gave me the gift of life. It allowed me to return to life, return to work, and return to being a dad and husband.

This milestone is not just about my health but also about the incredible power of love, generosity, and community.
