Nein, ganz andere Richtung. Und die besagte Software hat das gefährliche Verhalten in der Zwischenzeit auch nicht mehr.

Es gibt 5 Abstufungen. Der große Bildschirm hat meist die unterste Stufe weil keine fahrrelevante Funktionen (Tesla hat hier eine negative Ausnahme mit Scheibenwischerkontrolle über Display). Tachodisplay=Dashboard und ist minimal relevant Stufe 2-3 von 5.

So etwas kann leider immer wieder und auch bei anderen Herstellern vorkommen. Die Bildschirme gelten nicht als sicherheitsrelevant und unterliegen damit weniger strengen Regeln wie oft sie ausfallen dürfen. Ausnahme sind Dashboards, welche mittlere Anforderungen haben.

Eine bekannte Automarke hat für die EU absichtlich in einem bestimmten Land die Zulassung angesucht, weil sie wussten dass die (unzulängliche) Software dort nicht genauer angeschaut wird.

Ja, weil die Versionsverwaltung alle Konfigurationen ausspucken kann. Wenn man weiß welcher Teil verantwortlich ist, sieht man sofort alle betroffenen Varianten.
