In an old letterboxd review I cannot find, someone discussed the idea of Superman being dated. They argued that he's not dated we've just allowed apathy and evil to win, we need pure good.

It has so much potential but its limited by the fact they had to overhaul the original and tell their full story in 4 episodes. With at least 6 or 8 it probably would've been enough
