For all those who complain about the CFL playoff system, the top 6 teams are in the playoffs. The issue seems not to be the problem of the East, but that maybe only 5 teams should be in the playoffs this year.

Well, it's fitting that the #ticats will be in all black, and are asking fans to wear all black, next week. If Montreal plays like this we will be mourning another lost season.

The CFL rule changes are not about making the "game" better. The problem isn't enough points or not enough excitement. The problem is Canadians prefer to sit at home and watch US sports on their TV. The NFL isn't more exciting, but it is packaged much better as a spectacle.

Okanagan Sun, after being down 19-0 to St. Claire at halftime, battle back to win 34-19. They are heading to the National Championship AGAIN.

That TD for the Bombers was amazing. Wow

And the #ticats are back in it. I guess i'm watching the rest of the game and not getting things done. Oskee wee wee.

As always:

Tiger-Cats in Black shirts and GOLD pants would provide such a good visual contrast to Toronto's double-blue.

Let's hope Hamilton does play as bland as they look.

So, the only two CFL teams that made money last year are community owned? Is that right? Kinda says something.

reporting on that other app that the BC Lions will play their first two home games in 2026 at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna, expanded to at least 17K.

CFL football in the Okanagan. Never thought I would see that day...

2028. 10 yard endzones.

There are lots of touchdowns in the Arena Football leagues, yet no one watches. Weird.

The Commissioner of the CFL doesn't seem to understand that sports are entertaining due to intrigue, anticipation, and drama. These rule changes are not the end of the world, but they may reduce those things.
September 23, 2025 at 5:15 AM
Listen to this carefully. Eloquent, passionate, and carefully explained critique of these changes. The commissioner didn't consult players, didn't consult fans!
Nathan Rourke didn’t hold back when asked about the new changes announced by the CFL 😳

This was put out by the league itself less than a month ago.

What about it screams "SHORTEN THE FIELD AND CHANGE THE ROUGE!"?

🧵 re: scoring
Of the 15 games played in the NFL this weekend, 8 were decided by more than one score, 7 being really lop-sided, and 7 by one score.

Of the last 15 CFL games, 7 were decided by more than one score, with 3 really lop-sided, and 8 by one score.

So, under current rules, CFL scores are closer.

Breaking: NFL-only fans in Canada watch football on TV (Like all sport), and largely RedZone rather than actual games. Making the CFL more like US football will not get them off their couches and gambling apps.

How many stadiums will need modifications to allow for benches on both sides (with ample room for the players)?

Endzone seats just got really far from the action.
September 22, 2025 at 5:24 PM
Because....

- missed FG returns for big runs or even touchdowns are not exciting?
- because more punts (instead of FG) means less scoring, and hence more non excitement?
- shortening the field will 'enhance' the distance from end zone seats leading to fewer of those seats being purchased - uhmmm
