I’m in the late stages of coursework for a Ph.D. In curriculum and instruction with a focus on literacy and technology. I’m thinking about gaming communities where kids (anyone under 18, I guess) are learning in ways that are different than classroom-based. I’m leaning toward Minecraft. . .

I’m an aspiring ed researcher and tech and literacy guy looking for conferences to attend for networking and professional growth. I’m familiar with ISTE, the Connected Learning conference, AERA, NCTE, and the LRA conference. Anyone have other suggestions - conferences I should look at?

I’ve been drifting away from Twitter/Ex for a while, as have many others, looking for a place to talk about education and tech research without being drawn into toxic political battles.

I’m leaning toward this place. Any thoughts?

So how do we spot someone who is using AI to write for them now?

What tools do you use - and what do we do if we catch someone (outside of a classroom) doing this?

Would love to be added to #EduSky so that I can join the conversation - long time teacher and tweeter on education looking for other options.

Longtime Twitter/whatever guy posting here for the first time. Wondering about this app and restrictions on mobile use. More specifically, why?
