From my new novel, “The Duality of Detachment”

“Do you ever tell people that you were in Vietnam?”

“No... not voluntarily... Although, depending upon what I’m wearing, my left arm pretty much tells them everything that they need to know.”

“Yes, I suppose it does.”

The term “The Walking Wounded” generally refers to people who have been injured in a battle but who are still able to walk, or who have suffered emotional wounds.

Jay Weber, the protagonist in my new novel “The Duality of Detachment” is a returning Vietnam veteran who must contend with both.

My new novel, The Duality of Detachment, is dedicated to Vietnam veterans and all who have ever served in the military. Your courage and sacrifice have preserved this nation as “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
Wishing everyone a meaningful and proud 4th of July!

Memorial Day 2025…

In memory of those who died
And in honor of those who served
And to the women and men who came back damaged and different and distant from the good wars and the bad wars and the wars to end all wars
Thank you for your service and your sacrifice.
