Last week’s quote of the week got my sign remanded to my office by the bosses’s, bosses’s boss. Apparently it has to stay in my office. I bought an LED board that’s larger again by half than that whiteboard. You’ll be able to see it from down the hallway.

Andor is a master class in how authoritarian regimes come to power & how genocide can happen right under the noses of an apathetic populace.

It is not a “fun” watch. It will often leave you vaguely nauseated & appalled. It should.

Last night was the end of an era in our household. I’ve only the one, once chance to Shepard another human being into their own existence. I’ve learned so much about being a better person along the way.

And the kid asked for Waffle House after so that’s what we did before coming home to crash. Both of my neighbors left doorstep gifts for the kid and my feelings on that are overwhelming. The kid and I are both pretty obviously queer and leftist, I don’t hide our rainbows, but they’ve watched him grow up the last nine years and we’ve Al looked out for each other and despite our obvious differences they chose to remark on and celebrate the milestone. Hope comes slipping in to remind us of our shared humanity in the least expected of ways.

@mchshe.bsky.social I am so, so very sorry for your loss. I have never lost a parent, but I have lost a sibling far too young & I know that there are no words for this. Nevertheless I have often used them to help hold my own grief & I share them now to hopefully help share the burden of your own.

I have…many thoughts & feelings on the Trump administration’s stance on neurodiversity. None of them are good, or comforting. Having your humanity questioned for an inescapable fact of your genetic makeup feels like shit in case you were wondering.

Writing happened again. I think that missing picture in the hallway of the evangelical house of horrors will haunt me forever.
A poem written about an air bnb I stayed in recently. It was an evangelical horror show but in the hallway of family portraits there was blank space. The picture hanger was still on the wall. So I wrote about it.
