Retired Army WO. I work in hiring for WA state. Mental health matters. I also watch football and support positive masculinity.
On the one hand, DK is a lot like TO (plenty of talent offset by plenty of drops). On the other hand, Seattle needs to get some big names on O. Or at least big production.

I'm okay with this. Both for her and for the Chiefs.

A solid throwback to earlier times, but updated, crisp, and clean.

I read this as Release the Karen! And thought it just as apropos.

1) How would it be worse than it is now?

2) What is the viable alternative? You could never have convinced 75 million people to vote 3rd party in this election. Even if by some magical thinking you could get a 3rd party president, they would have near-zero influence over a 2 party congress.

It won't improve by bitching at random strangers on the internet after failing to stop making it worse.

I never said don't ask for better. I'm saying do less harm is the starting point before all else. You will never make it better by demanding someone with aspirations but zero impact.

Because one of the two parties will be in control. That will not change anytime soon.

Voting for a party with no chance of changing things is no less evil, going by your measure. It's selfish posturing that does as much harm to those in danger, and ignores the very real harm likely coming here.

Well evil is your choice in modern politics. There is no other. There is no pure candidate. There is no clean party. Sitting it out is still enabling it. And black and white thinking does not improve anyone's life.

Which brings us back to either moving away from the worse evil or letting it happen.

Different from expecting Jordan and Egypt to take more refugees so Israel can finish bombing whatever's left?

Different from "Let Bibi do whatever the he'll he wants"?

Yes.

I don't agree with letting the greater evil have free rein just because the lesser evil isn't doing enough for me.

"The statement you made is not the statement you wanted to. And we all saw it but you."

Putting him in charge was a vote for Fuck Palestine, not Free Palestine.

It doesn't just make dough rise, it makes it expand. I used to be 5'9" and 150. Now I'm over 6', but also over 200. Fair warning.

I want good things for Bwags, but can't seem to get behind the Commanders any more than I can the Chiefs. I'd rather see an Eagles/Bills bowl.

Want Bobby to have an awesome game either way.

Both QBs balled out as well as can be expected in that weather. Cold and snow impact the throw in ways you can't practice for accurately.

I was thinking the same about Dan Quinn after last year's blowout in the first round of the playoffs. Quinn's doing alright, but it does lead to questions about whether Glenn can turn around an average-at-best roster.
January 19, 2025 at 2:20 PM
Except if you cheer for the Lions, apparently. Even when they turn it all around, they don't get their shot at the big game.

Two field goals and a PAT that didn't go Houston's way, one of which led to a KC touchdown. This really could have been a different 4th quarter. Bad penalties aside, KC has some voodoo luck with special teams this year.

Lions/Bills in the bowl. But the Eagles better take down the Rams.
