The point can be made that Clinton was a creep who abused his position of power over her without mischaracterizing her.

All too often victims are mischaracterized and far worse. Keep the focus on the actions of the person who did the exploiting not on the person exploited.

Her private life was put on display for the world. As such, I believe she should be given the dignity of accurately stating the facts at the very least and not mischaracterizing her and diminishing her legal capacity.

My point was merely that she wasn't a child. She was an intelligent woman in her 20s who was preyed upon by a powerful man. Then she was victimized by the media & that powerful man’s political opponents as they used her as a political weapon.

Beyond that… legally she was an adult.

At the time, she was in her 20’s and she was clearly an intelligent woman. Calling her a child does not give her credit for who and what she was at the time.

Like I said that doesn't mean there wasn't a power imbalance. A woman can be a victim.

Give her the respect and credit that she is due.

A powerful man took advantage of a young woman. But, she was not a child. She was a legal adult. That doesn't negate the power imbalance. But words matter. She was a young woman, not a child. Don't diminish her. That is not fair to her.

That is why it needs to be released so we can see what was done, what wasn't done and what should have been done. Who drug their feet. Who didn't take victims rights into account? Then there needs to be reform.

I don't think there are actually more cases, I think there is just more awareness & it is diagnosed more often now. Looking back I had friends in school on the spectrum. But it wasn't even defined as a separate disorder until the 80’s. So they were never diagnosed
