Retired 40 year English teacher. Big fan of Sinatra, Jackson Browne, Christmas music, crime/mystery novels, Mulaney, and democracy.
@charlesfinch.bsky.social The hits just keep on coming. As usual, the crime in question kept me interested, but I really liked getting to know a small town in England and its inhabitants.

@charlesfinch.bsky.social just finished the fourth in the series and my eighth overall. Charles Lenox and his friends are so easy to root for, and the mysteries/riddles continue to be challenging. At the same time Charles wrestles with class differences and Parliament’s priorities.

@lauralippman.bsky.social love the Wonder Pets allusion in Hush Hush. I’m an older dad who loved the Rat Pack episode. Can also identify with home with “always something somewhere that needed to be put away. “

Happy Labor Day from me and Licorice.I am grateful for having spent my teaching career as a member of a union. So many Americans have pensions and excellent healthcare because of unions—the middle class is a consequence of the union movement. The Gilded Age is only fun as a tv show, not real life
