I’m watching Alien Earth and my cat just raced into the other room. Is there something behind me?

My wife turned our apartment into a cave due to the NYC heat wave. She put up curtains every where, unplugged everything (except our two window AC’s). I walked in tonight to the light of a battery operated camping lamp. Feels very post-apocalyptic. #batcave

I had to convince my wife to try Andor and then we binged the first season in two days. She was gasping and crying (particularly when Kino Loy couldn’t swim). Now she’s all in and we will kick off season 2 tomorrow! #andor

Why aren’t Blue states hiring up the specialized government workers to have them at the ready for what will hopefully be the next changing of the guard in the White House? It’s going to be a big lift to rebuild that workforce.

They had 4 years to plan. Did we assume that they were too dumb to be destructive? And I guess I was naive enough to think that somewhere, Dems were planning a counter-offensive to anything the Republicans were going to launch, like say, Project 2025. How are Dems still so flat footed?!

Just finished “James”, which was a great read. But I also kept having flashbacks of Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer on Showtime from when I was a kid.
