I had a good feeling about this album from the first time I heard The Fate of Ophelia and I actually did something I didn’t do with TTPD: Listened to it a second time on the day of release.

I had that exact reaction… to Tortured Poets Department. I just did not vibe with it. (Sort of like how I admittedly didn’t vibe with Madonna’s Ray of Light until maybe the third listen)

Guess the winds are finally blowing in the right direction, Philip Morris be damned.

It looks as though they didn’t go the standard “MediaOCD / Discotek cursed encode of the whole shebang in one big ass video file” route and stuck closer to the Nozomi DVDs with individual video files so that is good even if they did some things I’m not too happy with as a physical media collector
