i am just cynical enough for this thought. I can't see any path to profitability for this industry yet something has to keep it going for the sake of everyone's 401k.

Maybe they took the deep seek code,built a wrapper and are actually mining crypto with the remaining GPU load.
They can continually update the wrapper and the RL of deep seek will take all of the free prompt data into the database for continuous 'improvement'.
How else could it all be saved?

The first people that will be replaced are the middle managers. The AI can take a pile of metrics, schedules and outcomes and make a plan. Next, provide the plans to workers and start tracking and tuning.
