There ought to be an Algernon Blackwood literary podcast called “The Wend in the Willows”.

With fake film podcasts like @thepoduniverse.com and @smitpod.bsky.social (and hopefully more to come), I’ve noticed a glaring need: fake films deserve fake award shows. Am I the person to fulfill this? God help us all if I am.

Cannot overstate how excited I am for the new @thepoduniverse.com series. The previous iteration helped give me a light in perhaps the darkest year of my life. A brand new “cinematic universe” with no previous IP is a daunting but fantastic goal.

Meet Sitka, the newest foster!

The latest @darkuniversepod.bsky.social episode was fantastically dark, probably one of their top 10 pitches. Only issue I had was that the concept of blasphemy always takes the form of sex and/or bodily fluids.

Zeus was adopted yesterday. That’s a good thing. But fuck me does it hurt. We had him for four months, just enough time to start thinking of him as ours, a part of our little pack. I’m going to miss him, he was the best, sweetest boy there is. Good luck Zeubus.

Apropos of nothing, I’d like say that atmospheric black metal fits the gothic literature aesthetic better than gothic black metal.

He’s hard to see here, being so well camouflaged, but Zeus is the best boy.
