Spent the day spectating and coaching one of my students at the Herne’s HEMA tournament today in Oxford. Very happy how well he placed in the sword and buckler for his first competition. A few random action pics from the longsword tournament. #hema #armizare.

Went kayaking on the Thames this evening then walked home along Strand on the Green with the moon shining down over the river.

@dpiponi Fourth time in a week the foxes have raided our planter in the front garden. Nothing left now except for the lavender. The window boxes have only been hit twice. Fox repellent doesn’t work and any electronic device would just be purloined. Getting tired of sweeping it all up in the morning.

A beer by the Thames. I made it to the local pub for the first time since I ruptured my Achilles. A long slow hobble back home on crutches, but it was worth it.
