It's really not. I have even been looking at Minneapolis-area stuff because of you, @grnmushroom.bsky.social and @bearmine.bsky.social being up there. We're not averse to moving, especially at this point.

It's taking a bit for my group to get their heads around, too, and I'm not sure if they'll want to stick with it long-term over Starfinder. But the all-over-the-shopness that you mention does gel together pretty well when taken at the table, even though some of it feels like separate tools on paper.

Oh, I love Dragonbane a ton. It's still my favorite RPG, hands down.

DH is fun to design for because it has tools in the system to have a more open-ended adventure where you can provide openings for the GM to run with instead of X always leading to Y or Z.

I haven't! I'll check it out! :) This one probably comes down to a lot that it was the quickstart adventure that is pretty railroady as I wanted something with a little more structure for them coming from D&D/Pathfinder/Starfinder. The final encounter on there does not have good options as-written.
