49 yrs old. Still watching pro wrestling
I sometimes wonder if the perpetually online wrestling fan even watches wrestling

“mad at the booking” and “mad that Cena lost” are synonyms.

How does the perpetually online wrestling fan not see that?

A lot of old school can be dumb…but a main event wrestler leaving on his back, looking at the lights and “doing the honors” are not.

Cena walked it like he talked it.

(Gunther is going to get near-nuclear heat off this)

Ain’t no way a guy as old school as Cena was going out other than on his back, looking at the lights.
December 14, 2025 at 3:18 AM
Is that a slang term for farting?

If folks could set aside their wrestling partisanship (aka…the dumbest battlefield in the culture war) they’d really enjoy all the wrestling out there.

This effin guy probably thinks he is always the funniest person in the room.
December 10, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Guy is pretty darn over.

I find it’s only podcasters who (for some reason) really don’t like him.
December 9, 2025 at 10:08 PM
I struggle because I love going to house shows.

But I gotta appreciate that this new schedule is probably much better for the talent.
December 9, 2025 at 1:20 PM
I love Cena but there is exactly zero chance of him being able to physically withstand a 200 date run.

I’m sure the bulk of AEW fans here on Bluesky will handle this with the calm aplomb they are known for.
December 7, 2025 at 7:57 PM
Twitter is where toxic WEW fans hang.

Bluesky is where toxic AEW fans hang.

Question: it’s not out of the realm of possibility that Netflix acquiring WBD could open the door to some kind of WWE/AEW partnership or interaction…

Would AEW fans leave in droves if that happened?
December 6, 2025 at 5:33 PM
AEW is a little stuck because…most of what AEW could do to entice other views would repel the base AEW fan.
December 6, 2025 at 4:21 PM
We can all agree that without the WWE connection this move wouldn’t happen?

Seems like the partnership has benefited both sides.
December 2, 2025 at 6:08 PM
AEW is more your band if you think wrestling is ONLY putting on good matches.

The AEW vs. WWE thing really is dumb (yes. I’m guilty of being a part of the stupidity)

Wrestling can be more than one thing. WWE does it’s thing great. AEW does it’s thing great.

What’s the problem?
December 2, 2025 at 1:52 PM
I like WWE. To me there is two kinds of wrestling: Where the characters make the matches important vs. where the matches make the characters important

I prefer the first version more.

AEW is fine. Their wrestlers are tremendously talented. But to me its to much of the same stuff
December 1, 2025 at 11:19 PM
I gently offer that it is very deniable.

I’m glad there is a wrestling promotion that caters to you. I’m glad AEW has a rabid fanbase.

But…I’m not the only one who is just kinda meh on AEW. I mean…it’s fine. I watch Dynamite pretty much each week.
December 1, 2025 at 5:08 AM
Cena strikes me as legit old school. I really don’t think he’d go along with leaving with a title

Also…makes it a little easier for him to win his last match.
November 30, 2025 at 10:37 PM
That I agree with. People running into and out of the cage does defeat the purpose.

Like anything, doing it every now and again makes it special. When every cage match has it…it reduces the impact
November 30, 2025 at 10:34 PM
It’s not that cage matches need blood.

It’s that if your cage matches need blood for anyone to care, it means the creative in your promotion sucks.
