Not the bankers, they can't persuade people to take out those huge mortgages and pay all that interest. People who have choices that don't involve a pound of flesh and their firstborn child aren't willing to sign away their future as they currently must.

Not the bankers, they can't persuade people to take out those huge mortgages and pay all that interest. People who have choices that don't involve a pound of flesh and their firstborn child aren't willing to sign away their future as they currently must.

Having said that, the balance of what we are spending on has to adjust according to the needs of the day, and that includes the superannuation and health changes.
We are probably not as rich as we think we are, but we are not as poor as the wealthy would like us to think we are.

We need to tax the people who obtain wealth from
ownership of things rather than working.
We need to stop blaming the poor for their poverty and
start sharing again.

Not sure I'd agree. MOST people don't vote. White, Black, or Green, they just don't vote, and economics, not race, is the reason that happens.
Then there's the education factor. Educated people are more likely to vote left.

But to be fair, this is not entirely the doing of the DNC. It reflects a general population that has been propagandized so thoroughly that it really believes that electing billionaires to control the excesses of billionaires is going to work.

That means the big donors don't get to tell the party what to do; they get to pay the taxes when it does what it MUST do, which is to Tax the Rich, go for Universal Healthcare, and a UBI. Get the attention of the disinterested. We can't change a MAGA mind.

My suggestion to the Democratic Party is to offer the people a real revolution, not the center-right political nonsense that marked the last two democratic candidates. Take it to the Left and give the people on the sidelines a reason to come to the voting booth.
