The Great Destruction continues.

This annual $250 EV “fuel tax” from Congress, when combined with the $200+ fees already imposed by many states, will make operating costs for hybrids cheaper overall, and may put EVs on parity with gas guzzlers. A 10mpg car driven 12,000 miles annually pays about $230 federal fuel taxes.

Shouldn’t the tariffs be (income) tax deductible? For that purpose alone, all retailers will need to have tariff line items.

As shipping, trucking, and other transport numbers decline, the administration will soon tout its improved environmental record.

Maybe historians will refer to this time as the Great Destruction.

One thing my 3D printing hobby has taught me: manufacturing might be the least interesting part of producing a thing. Most of the action happens at the computer, and machines take care of the rest.

The power to tax is the power to destroy.
