My main rig’s GPU is dying, an Amd Radeon HD5000, with hardware acceleration failure that crash the system, but I’m not giving up on this beast.
A glorious 2012 i7 3770 with 24GB ddr3 ram, still crushing it in 2026.
Just buyed for €35 a used Amd RX 550 with full Linux support.

The Clean Code book it's Pseudo-CS. It’s the equivalent of those books claiming the pyramids were built by aliens

I’ve started the 12 beta testers program for my app
Besides the Google setup being a bit unintuitive, this program is really useful, provided you actually care about the app and your users are genuinely interested
I’m getting some very good feedback and suggestions

I’m using Mastodon more and just found the real-time live feed. Awesome! Been on social media forever, but never seen a feature like this.
You guys should try it, it’s hypnotic. It could become my new addiction.

Google Play Store: to release my app (it's a paid app), I need to run a closed test with at least 12 people. Turns out beta testers still have to pay for it. I had no clue, I just assumed it would be free for them. WTF Google, this makes no sense at all.

Okay, we got the message. Let's move on to something else now

Hackintosh on a 2012 Lenovo ThinkPad T530.
MacOS Sequoia is perfectly working.

Spotted a wild Commodore 64 on a tech influencer's feed and had to share my hobby project from 2 years ago: a 1541 floppy drive emulator for Linux.
It loads/save from C64/VIC20 via LPT port.
100% C code, a fair amount of insanity and the IEC protocol docs.
Works just fine

Apparently, Google decided I can no longer sort by upload date, but only by relevance and popularity, the only two metrics I couldn't care less about.
Is this what you call progress?

Flutter is a wonderful framework, but can it run Doom?

YES. I ported the original open source version of Doom to Flutter using the powerful dart:ffi

It's a proof of concept but perfectly playable. GitHub project in the first link, and also a link to the blog with a deep dive

Is this place vibecoded?
Or is it just pure incompetence?
Is anyone even going to see this post?

Android developers: yes, you.
People who publish real apps. Is there still a market? Because I often hear that it's no longer worth publishing on Android because you don't earn anything.
Is it true, or is it just psychological warfare?
I would like to hear about your experiences

I asked Gemini about the difference between opening a startup in Italy (where I live) and in the United States.
Sadly, my country undercuts many initiatives; we are the Third World when it comes to innovation.

Is the situation similar in other European countries?

What’s missing:
- Auto-bass function
- Single-note square wave keyboard
- Chord step sequencer (in progress)
- Landscape mode

The app is usable but incomplete. Excited to finish!

Due to a series of circumstances, I'm working at the mall.
What's stopping me from coding like this?

Everything: awful music constantly blasting in my ears, non-stop chatter, noise.

The only place I can code well is at home with my music, two monitors and a full-size keyboard.
