describing c as an “esoteric language” is insane to me. has that guy ever written a program in his life?
August 13, 2025 at 5:15 AM
also, i seriously would love to read a blogpost from you about the topic
August 12, 2025 at 2:02 AM
sorry, i had another reply to my other post. but also, what do you mean? most statically typed languages let you have traits equivalents
August 12, 2025 at 2:01 AM
plus, in dynamic langs they tend to bolt on a fake type system. ex: python, so many codebases are riddled with type annotations anyways, and there’s even a typed version i believe. meanwhile, in statically typed langs, i can just spam auto everywhere and get a similar experience with compiler help

i see what you mean about how static typing can lead to crazy weird types, but i still prefer statically typed languages over dynamic ones. the main reason: i like having a compiler that can catch basic type errors for me at compile time

im not a security expert, but i will say that i have had plenty of false positives with defender. id try running it through more scanners, maybe it’ll even out the ratio
August 11, 2025 at 11:55 AM
honestly that result doesn’t shock me. i keep telling coworkers that any initial dev speed increases you get from using llms is immediately offset by having to check and fix the generated code
August 11, 2025 at 6:42 AM
i think you need to make this game
