They also threatened to rape or kill individual people in and around the crowd of protestors, including a journalist, an waved flags in support of President Trump and of the far-right Orthodox Kach movement, which was banned from participating in Israeli elections in the 1980’s for inciting racism.

I did. Personally, it sounds to me like he’s referring to Christians not living by Jesus’ teaching.

“The neglect of mercy, appalling violations of human dignity” stand out the most to me.

Even today, there are many settings in which the Christian faith is considered absurd, meant for the weak and unintelligent. Settings where other securities are preferred, like technology, money, success, power, or pleasure.

These are contexts where it is not easy to preach the Gospel and bear witness to its truth, where believers are mocked, opposed, despised or at best tolerated and pitied. Yet, precisely for this reason, they are the places where our missionary outreach is desperately needed. A lack of faith is often tragically accompanied by the loss of meaning in life, the neglect of mercy, appalling violations of human dignity, the crisis of the family and so many other wounds that afflict our society.

Today, too, there are many settings in which Jesus, although appreciated as a man, is reduced to a kind of charismatic leader or superman. This is true not only among non-believers but also among many baptized Christians, who thus end up living, at this level, in a state of practical atheism.

I actually did text my local Democratic Party Chair this morning about my displeasure lol

Text message states: “Hi, I don’t know who else to reach out to about this and you’re welcome to block me after this, but I’m incredibly frustrated. I need you to pass along a message. THIS is a terrible idea. This is not what regular people want from the Democratic Party. They want progressive policies, they don't want Republican-lite. The DNC is doing irreparable harm to the party right now. Joe Biden garnered 81 million votes running on the most progressive platform since FDR. Moving away from that is not the right decision.”

Those gathered then laid out 20 solutions for how Democrats can regain working-class trust and reconnect with them culturally.

More than a few stuck out to Playbook:

The party should “embrace patriotism, community, and traditional American imagery”;
Democrats should “ban far-left candidate questionnaires and refuse to participate in forums that create ideological purity tests” and “move away from the dominance of small-dollar donors whose preferences may not align with the broader electorate”;
They should “push back against far-left staffers and groups that exert a disproportionate influence on policy and messaging” ;
Candidates should “get out of elite circles and into real communities (e.g., tailgates, gun shows, local restaurants, churches)”; and
The party needs to “own the failures of Democratic governance in large cities and commit to improving local government.”

In 2021, weeks after Biden’s inauguration, Apple said it would invest $430 billion in the United States over five years and create 20,000 new jobs, including construction of a new campus in North Carolina, which has reportedly been paused. And in January 2018, Apple said it would invest $350 billion in the United States over five years and create 20,000 jobs, including by growing US data center capacity.

This link misconstrues MLK and his stance on Israel and Palestine. He was very much for Israel’s right to exist, but he was also an ardent supporter of Palestinian right to their homeland. People need to stop using MLK as a beacon for their “side.”
