And to think people said nothing good would come from a second Trump presidency.

It’s also been fun to see how often one of this eclectic selection of movies, many of which I’d never heard of before, crops up in the show. This week (in 2ake2): Wake In Fright (Witterworld, Australia). 🦘

My favourite curiosities:

1. Deadly Pursuit (1988) appearing in both Route 50 Flicks (for Washington state) and Lights! Canada! Action! (where it reps British Columbia)

2. Route 50 Flicks comprising 51 states just so Mark could shoehorn in a certain film shot in Washington DC… 🙄

It costs a few quid a year to keep the lights on but I’m very fond of them and often pop in and click around. Many happy memories from an otherwise bleak time!

Many years ago, getting personalised Easter eggs at Thorntons. The girls got their names written on their eggs then the shop lady said “How about you, Dad?” I said “Timmy please”. My name is Mark. Watching the girls fume with embarrassment while the woman iced TIMMY onto an egg will never leave me.

Stand down, chaps, it’s only the one ad that’s sneaked through. I actually quite enjoyed the frisson of the unfamiliar.
