If you're at a decent french level (A2-B1) kwiziq is superb. Not super free but the first week and then the occasional 10 quizzes per month are quite nice. Lots of explanations and edge cases.
Although at B1 range I'd also advise you to subscribe to some french reddits (or other social media).

a lot of it is finding a version of that sona that looks like me enough to feel representative (hairstyle, colour, fashion) and adds enough Fun elements for me to like having that version of me. I also think just repetition and sticking with it helps

Hiking and Museum are great date activities to me, that's probably just because I'm a nature fanatic though. Hiking is fun for me because most paths usually grow flowers/mushrooms on the side and it's like a easter egg hunt. Museum has to be for a subject I'm actually interested in though
