*sigh* if only... I used to wear *some* makeup, but my allergies got the better of me. I've tried hypoallergenic stuff, but it doesn't really work, so y'all are gonna have to glam up without me. 😭

So, you're saying it's like jazz... I feel like @kirkhamilton.com would have OPINIONS. ;)

That's reasonable - statistically speaking, most things are probably more our fault than yours. ;P

To avoid this, we leave our inner door open and have the candy in a bowl on a little plinth. The kids would have to get around the candy to get to the doorbell, which they obvs don't do. The outer door is glass, so we can still see 'em. Clearly, not everyone has this option, but it works for us. 😀

That's the whole damn list. Nice job.

Tbh, that's probably the best possible outcome as adverse side effects go. 😅

This is so true - I feel like more than half of any creative process is just deciding where/what the guardrails are.

Dudes would rather type an *actually embarrassing screed* about a *perceived embarrassment* than go to therapy.

Oh, also, shameless plug, but I wrote a Muderbot Diaries inspired record. If you're interested in giving it a shot, it's pinned on my profile. ;)

When they end, long running stories like that (whether they're text, audio, or movies/shows) always feel like losing a "third space" to me. Like... ughh... where do I go to *live* now?

This is because of randos responding to your posts in annoying ways, isn't it...

*blermps into another fruit fly at full speed and zags off into the drain*

Where do you even start? Is it taxonomy, or is developing one the whole point? Are the classifications totally context dependent? Partially? Are generalized, meaningful abstractions even possible? How do you know when to stop abstracting? Is your job an oroborous on a merry-go-round in a trenchcoat?

I don't know you, but I know this is a big deal; my partner is a writer, and I know (at least secondhand) how hard this is. Congratulations from a rando!

I kinda agree with you, but this also feels a *little* gatekeepy maybe? I dunno.

What if someone buys an electropunk sample pack, and makes cheesy 70's elevator music with it? Is that even moar punk?

One of the great tragedies of my life will be having missed this. What awesome idea, I hope y'all do it again sometime when I can travel to experience it myself!

Well... let's hope it works out for you on the other end.
