Glad that brought you some joy! With the approach described at webrecorder.net/blog/2025-03... it should even be possible to put it back up at the original domain powered by the web archive so that original URLs resolve again :)

this whole project is lovely! so glad to know that it exists, and it's really nice to see the Project Endings recommendations and minimal computing principles applied :)

if this conversation moves forward I will definitely loop you in!

everything the Luddites feared did come to pass! tech will always be used to replace and undermine skilled labor unless we explicitly approach it in a way that centers people.

highly recommend ursula franklin's real world of technology lectures, which touch on this, if you're not familiar

i have many more questions and vague aspirations than answers or concrete plans, but it feels like there's a thread of something there that i'd like to keep pulling

- are there existing efforts I could tap into/help support with time and technical know-how rather than trying to start something new from scratch? might there be the possibility of support or collaboration with existing queer and trans archives?

- access considerations, especially if archiving social media + personal content: maybe certain content would need to be restricted to in-community use only? it would be wise to revisit the docnow white paper + chat with other folks who are archiving their own politically targeted communities

- it'd be important not to centralize these archives in any one place so that they're less vulnerable to takedowns/political interference. single points of failure could be exploited by those who want to censor trans peoples' stories and resources online
