(Big) tech's pollution and literally heating up the planet is exploding and will grow exponentially.
Yet "the left" is too busy being obsessed with penises, whether to have one and/or where to put it in.
Wonder why Big Tech/Pharma/Banks are all pro-Trump?
hahaha what a clown show

Elon Musk has angered the Jewish community with what appeared to be a 'Nazi salute'. Does he have ties to the religion?

For what exactly?
January 24, 2025 at 2:25 AM

what is the benefit?
and who actually benefits?

by the way, i never said they are owned by MS (although it wouldnt surprise me if Billy has a big chunk in is "philantropy" funds)
I said "they are just MS", for me where the search results (so their dependency) come from is at least equally important.

maybe you'll find this interesting: digdeeper.neocities.org/articles/sea...
scroll all the way down for a quick overview, but the whole text is worth reading, also about ddg
Search Engines - which one to choose?

Always bring attention, i thank you for that.
I also do, guess I'm still hopelessly optimistic, but the effects I see around me are basically zero, except for a very select few, who don't like to waste anyway.
Because that's what this really is: caring about waste, real durability.
January 24, 2025 at 1:57 AM
@bluesky an edit feature would be nice :)

They use the search index of Bing, which is MS, so every time you do a search on those "engines", you're actually using Bing.
The trackers are a thing, but even if you'd ignore that, or the contracts they have, you let MS decide what you see.

More people should definitely care, I agree. But in my experience, especially nowadays, the vast majority of people just want to have the newest shiny thingy or go with the trends, no matter what the cost. Any information on how harmful and unnecessary it is just doesn't enter the brain.

instead of duck (which is microsoft) give mojeek.com or swisscows.com a try, or wiby.me if you're interested in a different side of the web :)
Mojeek
Mojeek is a web search engine that provides unbiased, fast, and relevant search results combined with a no tracking privacy policy.

ChatGPT & AI is killing the planet one prompt at a time

It should be reserved for scientific & medical fields only, & it should never have been released to the masses — it needs to become way more sustainable-they dropped the ball

It should not be used for writing/art

True, Artificial "intelligence" is doing that mostly now.

They have deep ties with practically every government.
MS even gets the judges and public opinion (also of EU) as far as to try to break up Google for the same antitrust-issues that MS is actually way worse with.

They will... when the area is flat and ready to build a Dubai-like city on.

Well, he got the people nicely distracted again. In that aspect we now have 2 Trumps.
Nobody talking about the scum gathering in Davos for example.

Lame cherry picking also by the way, isn't fast fashion one of the biggest polluters there is?
January 24, 2025 at 1:02 AM
As long as it had the word Terrorist in it.
People are still hypnotized by it to this day.

If many people get fcked over by policies while the fat get fatter, and the "other side" just keeps saying the ones unhappy about it are dumb or just completely ignore them, then that is divisive, since most people don't like that behaviour they'd rather be divided.
Maybe you don't, that's fine.
January 15, 2025 at 3:54 AM
I see your point. My point is that is that these things are very divisive.
Anyway, have a good day :)
January 15, 2025 at 3:23 AM
I get your point and agree with the idea, just wanted to add to it.

Laws are especially hard when (corrupt? ignorant?) politicians make them. Because if they would actually care, they would fine the living @#$ out of the giant rule breakers, instead of small fines as in "cost of doing business".
