Great idea! If you'd like a feature suggestion... being able to handle escaped quotation marks would solve one of my biggest issues.

Ah the old `./configure && make && make install` sequence. Then cmake and automake popped up and now I need a readme.

Web experience reversed this, broken to unified. Ant/grunt/gulp mess until npm took over. More complex? Docker compose.

I hope Taskfile goes like web & makes things simple again.

Worst part is you know that price hike isn't going to the author.

I somehow discovered your bluesky feed before realizing you were an author and now I'm excited about your new book! Is your latest a good place to start reading your work?

I'm curious if there has EVER been a field that has moved so quickly.

I'm very interested in what full stack devs are in this analogy :D

Hmm if we're going with butter analogies, then how about Tony Todd's voice sounding like a knife scraping butter on very dry toast. He will also be missed.

Back in the early 2000s I used to make mini-cds that I handed out as business cards, with an offline version of my website on them. Problem was, while the cds were physically smaller, the data density was the same, so they just held less data. Couldn't work with a movie without hella downsampling.

It's been one of my favorite movies since I first saw it. When I got my first DVD player, this and Dark City were my priority first DVDs to buy. The visual design is ... well basically unsurpassed. I wish more movies were like this.

I agree, I tend to think they're out there and we just don't see them because their technology is so much more advanced, they are communicating and/or existing in ways we can't perceive.

Wow! That would just make my day ... hell, MONTH! So cool!

Sending a big empathy hug as someone that's been there. I wish I'd know about things like this back then! You are brilliant.

And by the weird quirk of all churches in the world sharing the same air, I know exactly what your environment smells like.

I thought you were talking about Promare for a sec!
