do the projects view sybillors as a feature rather than bug? sybillors inflate the projects user-metrics which is used to justify higher valuation - if valuation is increased more than the piece of the pie given to sybillors - then their incentives are aligned and no urge to stop the practice?

how long do you think this meta can last? i thought that airdrop projects would introduce proof of identity or other mechanism to stop sybillors - why have they not done so?
