Ha! I was pooped on by a Cedar Waxwing once too, a few years ago at Token Creek. When I got home I looked up what kind of sign it is to be pooped on by a bird, and apparently it's considered good luck because it doesn't happen often. So you can tell her that! 🙂

We're up in Wausau for a fall colors weekend getaway, and were pleasantly surprised to see a #NoKings rally that stretched for many blocks. Probably about 1,000 people there. This pic out our car window shows just a small portion of the protest.

Right! I have a 7-year-old Toyota hybrid that has already paid me back the additional purchase cost because I don't use as much gas as I would if I still owned a non-hybrid car.

I saw White-faced Ibises for the first time this year (a few errant ones ended up in Wisconsin for awhile in spring) and wow were they cool to see
