My local ABC channel is Sinclair affiliated. Jimmy Kimmel won't air here. Sinclair is the other shoe that could drop on The View. It might account for their silence. What Sinclair wants from Kimmel is an apology to the family and a donation to Kirk's organization. That's blackmail.

Immigrants in FL are farm workers or construction workers. Fresh produce is already more expensive. The bigger concern is construction. Who will rebuild after a hurricane?

IDK your situation, but I'm 70+ and still get preventative care. So did my mom until age 90. She didn't have colonoscopies after 80. There's a risk of rupture for older patients. I am the only person I know who gets a cognitive test every couple of years. It's due to my seizure disorder, not age.

I did that during the fuel crisis. Grocery stores were all 25 miles away. I bought enough of everything to fill my pantry and freezer. I never bought just a single loaf of bread. I bought enough for a month and I froze it. I even froze milk.

It's wonderful that you appreciate them. Nobody wanted the two Life magazines or the week of local newspapers that my mom passed to me. I remember reading them all, and watching the TV coverage.

I finally stopped getting those calls. Now it's calls for a Debra, my number, quotes for everything from auto to Medicare supplements to homeowners insurance. Home repairs as well. I have answered some, told them wrong number. One gave me her address. One asked, "Well, do you need any insurance?"

My mom made sure we got every shot available in the 60s. I plan to get them again starting with Tdap. I have COPD, so pneumonia, Covid, RSV, are done, as is shingles. In NW FL, RSV is going around.

I was in school when it happened. All teachers were called to the office. My teacher came back in tears. I didn't know why until I got home.
