It’s not only happening here. And it’s not any one individual post. But it just feels like this administration says something crazy when it’s a bad news day for them and manages to change the subject.

Getting our media ecosystem to focus on things like this is how they change the narrative. This morning, my entire feed was full of the disastrous speech last night. Now it’s this. Yeah journalists shouldn’t fall for it, but we need to stop talking about all the lies and distractions.

Successfully changed the subject from a disastrous national address because of posts like this. You blame the media but you focusing everyone on it makes it worse. And the administration knows the media ecosystem will fall for it every time.

I missed the speech. Did he have a mission accomplished banner behind him?

Thanks for being on here Mark. I know you catch hell from people but you’re trying to come up with solutions instead of perpetuating a broken system. I’m not sure if people don’t understand the systems or are just partisan but it’s going to be a heavy lift and we need ideas!

Thanks for sharing, this is a really well written piece and a thoughtful take. I can see the point, but I like his music regardless. It’s art, it doesn’t have to be everything one person says it should be. Maybe for a protest purist he’s awful, but his music works for me

I appreciate that, and I like hearing it! But it also felt like generating a lot of excitement for Gemini 3. Maybe as a listener/reader it can be hard to discern your interest in a subject from your support or excitement for it
