Huffman Prairie State Natural Landmark, Dayton Ohio

I'm way out here in Ohio so no experience with it but I've heard good things about Native American Seed out of Tx.

It was a spring planting and pretty well filled in the first year, but this photo is from year 2.

This planting includes Wild Bergamot, Slender Mountain Mint, Purple Coneflower, Greyheaded coneflower, Golden Alexander, Skullcap, and Lanceleaf Coreopsis.

Exactly right, so many errors that we have to live with today.

That's great! I totally understand controlling it in some areas and I have for clients before, but in natural areas it can be admired from a distance 😊

Often the state chapters of TACF will provide you seed for free, you just need to reach out to them! I know the website comes off that way but you don't need to purchase anything or become a member to get involved. Everyone just wants to see this species recover 💚
