At the first glance I thought why has this woodpecker got such short beak and why is it bloody and why is it facing away from the tree, shouldn't she have the beak towards the tree?

Then I realised.

Nature has such amazing incredible colours.

The most humane way to die for an animal would be a natural death- either eaten by a natural predator or dying of old age. That way the basic components of the animal can stay in the cycle and system of the wild.
The lady in the picture has lost her mind, hope she loses her gun license too.
