An odd posture, for sure...

The 16th century centuy historian Duatte Nunes Leão described it simply as "memory for something with a desire for it." Loss and longing are intertwined in saudade, causing a kind of paradox: it isn't saudade if there is no love, but it also isn't saudade if love's object is still with you. How can you long for what you already have? Saudade is the "live that remains." Imagine a cord tethering your heart to a person, time, or place you cherish; imagine it stretching farther and farther as they recede from you. Imagine the pull of that tether is impossible to soothe and undiminished by time or new experience. So integral is this concept to Portuguese culture that an entire genre of music, fado, revolves around it, in much the same way that the blues transmute the tragic racial history of the U.S. into art.

From what I can tell, hotwiring a boat isn't that difficult. If you know maritime safety/ driving law, you're outta there.
Is hotwiring a boat hard? Hotwiring a boat is not that complicated. First, you need pull out the ignition switch and determine the ignition wire and the starter wire. Then, you can jumper a short wire to the live wire and the engine wire. This should crank up the engine. How can I turn on the boat ignition switch without a key? You can turn on your boat engine’s ignition switch without a key by bypassing it. You can hotwire the ignition when you connect the ignition wire to the battery or jumper the live wire and the engine wire on the ignition switch with a short wire.

My house, next door to your house.
One of the very lorge skeletons from Costco artfully placed in someone's side yard. it's a bust, meant to look like he's only crawled halfway up out of the ground. he's resting fully on his right forearm with the left arm's hand on the ground, elbow jauntily bent up and out to the side. His eyes are lit red and his mouth is halfway open. He looks like he's about to say, "Hey! How ya doin'?"

23 years old.
A picture of my shoes, taken this weekend. I'm wearing a pair of high-ankle, brown suede Timberland boots with pink, crew-length, wool Carhartt socks. My grey pants are tucked into the socks to keep the ticks away (I'm in the PA woods/mountains.) My step-dad bought these boots for me the first time I met him. We were going on a hike in Boone, NC. In 1992. These boots are 23 years old and in great condition. I wear them any time I'm in the woods, camping, hiking, etc. I don't expect to have to replace them anytime soon.

OK. So, it's not much, but I bought a 2ft twig on sale at a garden shop here in Brooklyn (RIP Crest Hardware!!) a few years back, and this year I finally got this:
