Hard to believe it’s well into November and I just walked out barefoot and picked a ripened fig off the tree. In Pennsylvania. Climate change is wild 🌱

And here I was, thinking Comics Dad would be proud of me…

I grew this Hollyhill Spider Woman dahlia this year: I’d never grown this style of dahlia and it was a wonder to watch them unfold. They’d look great together.

My favorite part about the darkening year: snow upon the roses. 🌱 Have you ever eaten a frozen rose? It’s a bit like eating a very delicate popsicle.

I loved her because she has a beautiful but sad little face. She’s got this diva attitude for photography, but her goofy and elegant sploots are perfection.

I know it’s Caturday, but I wanted to share some photos of our babydog, Tallulah. She is hilarious, and a balm for the soul in dark times.

Folks, disinformation is going to be the norm: we have to relish these moments of true joy and presence as they come. Your art and kindness matter: they are real in a world that will try to tell you up is down. They are things that will sustain us.

Just in case you need it, here are some photos of our daughter, Tallulah.

Tallulah is cranky because I won’t give her coffee-dipped biscotti. I am a bad, bad mama.
