Our green belt is under attack piece by piece, the local authority is allowing warehousing not housing to be built on brown field sites locally which means more virgin greenbelt will be lost forever.

There is an ongoing sewage leak along Maple Lodge Close, Maple Cross, Thames Water are in attendance but have been unable to rectify the situation as of yet, right next to Maple Lodge NR 🤦🏻

Hengistbury Head is always a good site for Purple Sandpiper during the winter months and I was pleased to connect with no less than 27 Individuals this afternoon feeding on the algae covered rocks along the shoreline. @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

An evening visit to Woodoaks Farm, Maple Cross provided interesting views of a copulating pair of Red Fox at the market garden area, hopefully we will see cubs in the coming months. @colnevalley.bsky.social
