so if the current japanese matcha is just One Form of matcha, shouldnt the article be framed like that? really makes ou think
December 14, 2025 at 12:18 AM
now i know its because japanese matcha is a specific type of matcha with very strict definitions that emerged out of 16th century japan, but like the article explains, the word "matcha" actually just means "powdered tea"

i was mostly asking about the current reality of our governments being so averse to investing in nuclear energy, as well as the reasons why accidents have happened in the past even though our understanding of nuclear energy is comprehensive and we know how to prevent accidents

i definitely agree on the "governments should fund expensive infrastructure" point, i am far from a libertarian and i like governments primarily for the way they are uniquely able to coordinate and spend massive amounts of resources quickly and efficiently for the good of a society

and governments cutting corners, which means a lack of sufficient capital resources and time, is the biggest reason nuclear accidents happen and nuclear becomes unsafe. would you say this is accurate? i could be misinformed (2/2)

thanks for the resources! and wow thats amazing i didnt know we have nearly a century of research on it. my understanding is that even with the depth of research, it needs a ton of capital resources and takes a long time to build and start up, which is why governments are averse to it. (1/2)

my current and probably limited (but hopefully decently nuanced) understanding is that its the best and cleanest energy source, and its safe AS LONG AS SUFFICIENT TIME AND RESEARCH IS PUT INTO IT and by sufficient i mean a TON of time and research because it is extremely complicated technology
