That was interesting! Not a common occurrence here in Eugene, Oregon.
We’ve just completed our third full day of birding on the WINGS Costa Rica tour and we’ve already had 240 species. Today’s highlight from La Selva was probably this Chestnut-colored Woodpecker that foraged among some heliconia flowers just a few feet away from our group. It was amazing.
