So I've been stressed as hell the last couple weeks with a move, a new job, and a few other things, and I haven't been happy with anything I've been drawing. Anyhoo, here's some big cats I sketched this morning trying to get back at it.

Behold! The homunculus! I poked at #Blender today for like 20 minutes. I haven't used it for a few versions, but since I upgraded to Manjaro Linux yesterday, I'm trying it out again. There are a LOT more tooltips, and I want to play more with the sculpting tools.

I was playing around with Krita's RGBA thick paint brushes and did a small sketch of my sona. I love the texture effect. I think I might use this brush for my background washes from now on.

Been having trouble sitting down at my desktop the last couple days, so I did this ~30 minute study of a toucan. I recently found r/birdsfacingforward and it's a great well of reference photos.

Spent some time today doing studies of birch trees. I've never spent time on landscapes, so this is super new to me! Thanks to the channel #PaintCoach on youtube for a great video on this. Go check him out! #trees #art #digitalart

So right now I'm in a weird place with my art. I'm not great at panting, but trying to change my process from sketch>lines>flats>shade to sketch>paint. I want to move away from relying so much on lines, but struggling. It feels bad seeing my work look worse than usual. #wip #pokemon

I'm a traditional artist still trying to find my voice with digital tools, and I've spent several days at this point studying up on the brush engines in #krita and trying out brush tips and textures. I think I might have something now that's not too smooth for me and not too distracting!

@darkmage752.bsky.social said that Scolipede isn't as good as Lopunny because it doesn't wear thigh highs. As a mediocre furry artist, I took this as a challenge! Might shade this later, but I just want to have something to post, and I'm super proud of the lineart. #pokemon #furryart

Doodle of Gladys from Animal Crossing. I'm still getting used to digital art, and didn't want to take the time to render the soft texture she has in NH. I'm pretty sure it's just noise multiplied with her colors. I'm gonna make a brush to handle it for next time. #digitalart #furryart

A couple of days ago, I posted the start of this yellow warbler, one of my first full color works in acrylic. I'm happy with parts of it, and surprised it turned out as well as it did, but the drying time caused problems for me, especially in the chest markings. Can't wait to try again soon! ❤️

I've been frustrated with my figure drawing recently, so I've been drawing from photos from the NBA. The photos are crisp, the poses are dynamic, and the athletes are gorgeous. Highly recommend!
