Part of the reason could be that Blacks and POC mostly stayed away. There was police presence at most locations, but it was just a few officers. They are all protesting in other ways.

I have nothing to add to the comments here, except my heart broke today. The United States, as I have known it, died today. We are no longer a world leader. We are no longer looked up to. As a whole, we are now the dregs of humanity with a fucking 🍊 🤡 in the WH.

the difference is, RVW was never codified as a law. The 14th Amendment is part of the Constitution and can't be changed without 2/3 of the senate AND House voting for it, AND 34 states ratifying it.
