and before you say she wouldn't have left they were the only gems on the planet. It's amethyst... like she's the most humanlikegem that literally isn't half human. she would have just left if it was too much and if she did run she tends to come back

like yes people can come into our lives again and something amazing can happen. but idk someone who's literally been with you through all of your bad times? Amethyst came into their lives probably immediately after the war. I imagine how difficult that was. but she stayed for 5000 yrs

Amethyst and Pearl get to not only back to a place of mutual love and friendship but it's arguably stronger than it ever was! Im sorry i love that story more

Then we spend seasons of them finding their footing. Moving on from their grief and getting past their insecurities. They stop aiming their anger at each other (because let's be real after 5000ish years together how could you ever expect to hurt each other)

Like we start out with them being at odds and in the middle of grieving. Their anger misplaced and technically aimed at someone who is no longer here and the situation they are in. all the while trying to raise a kid they literally weren't programmed to raise

Idk maybe it's a me thing (demisexual/romantic) but when i watch a show i want to spend time with the characters and see how they change and grow together. it's why i like pearlmethyst
